The 2010 Miss Chugiak-Eagle River Pageant was held Saturday November 7, 2009 in the Steve Primis Auditorium at Chugiak High School. The event was a joint fundraiser with the Chugiak High Choir.
The pageant theme was "Beauty Among Twilight".
The new Miss Chugiak-Eagle River 2010 is 20 year old UAA student Kimberly Mauser.
Kimberly performed a reading for the talent portion of the competition.
The platform issue she has chosen for her year of service is "The Importance of Learning a Foreign Language".
The 1st Runner-up to Miss Chugiak-Eagle River 2010 was 21 year old Debbe Ebben.
Debbe performed a cello solo.
Debbe's platform is "Baldly Going Children's Cancer Research".
A Miss America Organization Outstanding Teen pageant for girls between the ages of 13 and 17 was held in conjunction with the Miss competition.
15 year old Bianca Temple was crowned as Miss Chugiak-Eagle River Outstanding Teen.
Bianca is home schooled and attends Chugiak High part time.
For her talent, Bianca performed a Soft Shoe Irish Dance.
Bianca's platform issue is "Fitting in the Right Way: Be Above the Influence".
The 1st Runner-up for the Outstanding Teen was 16 year old Chugiak High student Lindsey Roth.
For her talent, Lindsey performed a self-composed piano piece.
Lindsey's platform issue is "Encouraging Music in the Younger Years".
Queen Regent
Roberta Kolb was honored for her service to the community since arriving in Alaska in June 1969.
